Welcome to Friday, everyone! The weekend is already around the corner.

We are upgrading some of our infrastructure and I'm reading up on cat8 vs fiber. Hey all, I think I know the answer to this question but I wanted to see what you all thought. So I'm a bit confused as it's the Microsoft Project Standard 2016 installer and key, but the software seems to think the key doesn't match the software version, and I'm not sure if it's the software or the key that's the issue? I've tried all our MAK keys for this and they all give the same error. To use this product key, contact your administrator". "This product key is for the volume-licensed version of Microsoft Project Standard 2016, which isn't currently installed. Go to change the key, input the key and get the following error: Launch the software, says it's not activated.

Used the tool to download and install, all good.

I've used to create the XML file needed, stated Microsoft Project 2016 Standard - Volume Licensing, set it to a MAK key and input the key, set auto activation. We're currently using O365, so I'm having to use the Microsoft Deployment Tool to install a standalone version of Project, I've done this previously for Visio and has worked fine. We've been using them for 2010 and we're looking to move everyone onto 2016. I've got a bunch of Project licenses through Microsoft Volume Licensing, some 2016 and some 2019 both with downgrade rights to 2010.
